Tellicherry is grown and harvested in southwest India along the Malabar Coast in Kerala. These peppercorns are allowed to mature longer to develop a deeper, earthier, spicier, fuller flavor. The berries are larger than other peppercorns due to their longer stay on the vine and contain greater amounts of voliatile oils and piperine. They have a distinct aroma some call floral, some liken to fresh corn husk silk.
